Uhhh, this is the first one that I didn't just love, Joanne! I feel terrible, because you gave it 4 Cups. Will you hate me if I only give it 2 Cups?? It's the rope thingy that I don't like, and it's the first thing my eyes saw. I love the door and the color of the siding, but I only saw them after the thing I didn't like. Sorry! :(
Good morning Joanne:) I love it too, except for the rope, but I would also be curious to know if it's part of a winter custom or tradition in another country. I'll give this door 3.5 stars today! I've just got to cut back on my caffeine:)
This house is so striking b/c of its color. It always catches my eye when we take our walks in this area. I'm giving it 4 cups for being an original. I think it helps to see the whole house (what a charmer of a cape cod!)
3 cups from me - would have been 4 without the rope, which made me think of a snake hanging out waiting for me to walk beneath it! Seems I'm not alone in wondering about that rope.
Hi Joanne, definitely a four-cupper. It looks warm and inviting behind that door. I think there is a fire and a cup of tea or good coffee waiting for us and a slice of something warm and delicious smelling of cinnamon and apples! I think there are soft leather chairs to sit in and hand knitted throw blankets to put over our knees and maybe just a nip of something to take the chill off in those jugs out there on the porch! :) Delisa
I give this door FOUR extra large cups. I love its simplicity for Winter, and every element seems to complement the others - even the dry grass growing there. I'll take my coffee bold, and light and sweet, thank you.
I'm torn between a 3 cup thinking of a hot bowl of soup waiting inside and a 4 cup with that delicious cup of coffee to warm your bones. Lovely door. Have a great weekend.
As an author, my debut novel focuses on knowing who we really are and staying true. While writing it, I began to notice how other, real people live their choice lives, and the goodness that follows. Here, I'll share thoughts on finding our own perfect blend of life.

4 Cups from me, it's got a nice, wintry style that makes me think there's a fresh brew percolating in there too.

I also love everything about it except for the rope. The door, the wreath and the color of the door are beautiful, but not the rope. I give it 3 cups.

Becky - All ratings are welcome! Sorry this one didn't work for you ...
Janet - Aw. I thought the rope gave it a nice rustic look.
Valerie - Interesting thought about the rope being a custom. I'm not sure, but it could very well be.
Doesn't do a whole lot for me. 2
3 cups for me. Love the colors and rustic look, but I think a touch of something red is missing.
Happy Friday!
Ooh, very charming! I am going with...3 Cups - Thaws My Winter Heart! :)
I'm kinda with Becky on this one, Joanne. The rope looked like a snake to me at first. Sigh!
Karen
Ellen - Maybe next time ...
Andrea - That's a perfect door for that pop of color. Hm ...
Cafe Fashionista - I thought it had a certain country charm too.

Definitely a three. The rope seems to be the deciding factor.
Maybe 3 cups for me. But still ready to go inside and warm up with a Latte!

Rope is a bit scary for me but that colour of house is absolutely great!
Have a wonderful winter weekend!
2 cups, it's Snow-kay. I like the jugs.

I am going to go for three cups. It is very nice, but the thing draped over the top isn't my favorite. Everything else is just lovely!
I'd say four cups, too. There's something about its simplicity that I really like. Looks western!
Karen - Hm, very interesting. I'd thought it had a nice country feel to it ...
Mary - Oh it's such an original, and might change some of the ratings here if I showed the whole front of it :)
Patti - Oh the rope. It doesn't have an artistic flair to you?
Claire - Me, too!
One MN Writer - Funny how everyone's eyes go to the rope first. It is a beautiful home, and I probably should've shown more of it ...
Patricia - I love the color too, that dark shade is so inviting.
Catherine - Duly noted :)
Delisa - All right! Yours is the 4-Cup Comment of the day, love every bit of it!
Deana - Okay, Three cups is good too ...
Linda - Hm, maybe for you the rope gives it that Western flair?

I love this door! 4 cups. I wonder why the board is over the door, and I really wonder why the rope is looped around it. This door makes me smile!
I'm going for 3 cups. That rope scares me. ;)
I'm 2 cups, can't say why though.
I'm going to have to go with 2 cups for this one too. I like the door itself, but I have no idea what else is going on there...it's a bit odd.
Webster - I agree, there's something about its simplicity that just says winter.
Carol - Nice. Wonder brings on the smiles :)
Donna - Hm. To me, I thought it more artistic ...
Em-Musing - Well, Snow-kay is okay.
Carolynn - That's the beauty of it, that other stuff going on. It's unique, don't you think?

Thoughts in Progress
Hi Joanne .. one?! BRRR ... as Becky says it's the rope thingy .. it just doesn't gel for me ...
I'll stay here and have a whole latte instead .. see you next time .. cheers Hilary
Mason - Happy weekend to you, too ...
Hilary - One of these days, Hilary, I just know I'll get a 4-Cupper from you! I'll keep trying!
Hi Joanne .. you've had one or two 4 cuppers from me!! I'll be here looking out for the next one - that's for sure .. enjoy the weekend .. Hilary
4 for me, I can smell it brewing inside the door..Susie
Three for me. I just don't like the rope. Love the wreath though.
This is definitely a 4! I'm with you on this . . . I bet there is a hot coffee waiting just inside that door. :)
Hilary - Okay, I've got a door finale planned in a few weeks ... Stay tuned.
Susie - This door definitely is getting a mixed reaction. Glad it works for you.
Sarah - Three works :)
Jen - I'd join you for that coffee, too ...
Gotta go with 2 cups. Just didn't strike me and I'm not a fan of the rope, either.
3 cups. I love the wreath!
Melissa - Hm, maybe next time ...
Beth - Me, too :)
I'm only giving this one two cups. I know, I'm harsh today apparently. LOL I need a WARMER DOOR! WARMER!!! Less rope, more wreath:)
I'd give it 4 cups, and I love the rope as a concept, but it just seems... too crooked maybe? A solid three, and I love the green.
